Meadows-Creek Site Redevelopment Plan
Key Words: Urban Design, Transportation Connectivity, Real Estate Development, GIS Analysis, Marginalized Community
This project identified the physical barriers and social characteristics in the Meadows-Creek neighborhood. Physical barriers includes repetitive flooding, lack of access to commercial area from residential area, excessive parking lot, and blocked roads. Followed by that, I performed a GIS analysis on income levels, crimes, and tree coverage to conduct geospatial analysis of this neighborhood I proposed improvements such as changing the wall barrier into a ramp, redesigning roads to improve connectivity to US Route 29, and converting an abandoned site into mix-used residential form to maximize the use of empty space and improve equity. The drawings below show a portion of this project.
